COPD and Pets – Part 2
Princess Penny here. Things are really sad here at home. Remember when I told you how I overheard mom and dad talking about downsizing and I did not know whether to tell my feathered brothers and sisters? Well it is really true. That was why mom has been “Off”.
She and Dad are really upset. Mom’s breathing has been a little difficult, not bad bad, but bad enough that she has to have that thing in her nose so she can breathe. That’s right oxygen, thanks JJ.
Mom was talking to Aunt Juanita and she reminded her of Aunt Angie and her husband Wilson (he really really tall). Wilson and Aunt Angie came over yesterday to meet Sebastian and Robin.
Oh no my two favorite siblings. What am I going to do when they are gone. Who is going to try to chase and eat my nose. Who can I terrorize (all in fun of course).
Robin seemed to know something was up because Dad came to get her and they put me in my house. (I did not think that was very fair) Anyway, Robin kept flying around the house to get away so she would not have to do step up on Wilson or Aunt Angie. (She finally did and I think she liked Wilson)
Aunt Angie told all of us that Wilson is like Dad – a bird person and all birds seem to know it. Wilson, who is from the Dominican Republic, has parakeets, a canary, chickens and roosters. He also has an aviary in the back for the parakeets when summer time comes around.
Mom and Dad know that Sebastian and Robin will have good homes and they can go visit. But there was one great big surprise, well actually two, but let me tell you about the first one.
When Dad brought Wilson and Aunt Angie upstairs to meet everybody Wilson fell in love with Kazoo. You can imagine Mom and Dad’s surprise. Especially since Kazoo was hollering her usual holler when she knows there is someone around that can come and get her.
When we were all downstairs, Wilson was saying how that noise was enough to drive someone ‘loco‘. Mom told him he was already loco having roosters. When Mom took Kazoo out of her house, Wilson saw her all her loco noise seemed to disappear. Mom and Dad had to remind him that so long as Kazoo is in the mix, she will talk up a storm in her little Pionus voice.
Well Mom had to call someone to make sure it would be ok, since Margaret had already found someone for Kazoo. Mom told Margaret she was happy with the idea. This way my three feathered siblings would be together and that might make the transition easier for them all. (It certainly would make it easier on Mom. I can’t forget Dad is really feeling this too!)
Well Wilson was estatic to learn that he would Buy cheap Accutane Online also be able to adopt Kazoo. Looks like Kazoo will be more his and Sebastian and Robin will be more with Aunt Angie. What has Dad a little upset is that he know once Sebastian gets comfortable he will probably call Wilson ‘father’. That is what he calls Dad. The first time he called Dad ‘Father’ it made Dad teary-eyed. (don’t tell him I told you so)
Dad brought JJ down and Wilson notice how much bigger JJ was over Sebastian. While he was sitting he asked JJ to step up. Yeah right! It was more like ‘ how good do you taste’, as he tried to bite Wilson. Mom told Wilson that JJ was higher than his head so he felt that he was the big guy in this situation. Mom then suggested he stand up so that he could show JJ who was boss and that he did not care if JJ wanted to eat him (and he really didn’t, he said he was use to it). Well Wilson stood up (and he is really really tall)….Penny are you trying to emphasize that Mom and Dad are vertically challenged, said Sebastian. You better be careful! Back to Wilson. He stood and towered over JJ and told him to step up. No problem man, you look like you can handle me, and besides I would have to fly up to bite you – too much energy.
Dad thought JJ would not go to Wilson without trying to bite him again, Mom knew differently. But no thank goodness, for the time being, JJ and Kiwi are staying here. Maybe with only two of my feathered siblings in the house Mom might be able to breathe easier. They already have two air filters in the room so with only two of my siblings the air filters will be enough to keep the air cleaner.
Aunt Angie and Uncle Wilson loved up me after all the birdies went back to there homes and I felt really lucky because NO ONE is talking about downsizing me. Though for a moment I thought there might be the introduction of another dog. Angie showed mom a picture of her Miniature Doberman Pincher/Jack Russell and Mom and Dad made all kinds of gooey remarks. Dad told them if they ever breed their we would want one. NO – WE – DON”T and neither did Mom. She told dad Jack Russells bounce of walls. I’m not having anything bounce of my walls, especially since I have Cody next door who doesn’t walk – he bounces.
Angie, Wilson and their two boys will be here on Saturday morning with a truck for every-one’s houses and then they will go live in Delaware. It’s not that far, maybe 45 minutes. Wilson said he can’t wait for us to come to their house for a bar-b-que. That is all Dad had to hear – But wait, wait a minute guys, does that mean I can come too! I love a good bar-b-que and I would like to visit Sebastian, Kazoo and Robin Tell them Dad.
Well like I said Mom is sad, but she knows its for the best thing, and at least they are where Mom and Dad can visit.
So until next time – Woof Woof
